Obsession : The Scary Part Isn't Nikki, It's Bear

 

Obsession is a very cool name for the movie because all I can see in that movie is obsession.

Guess who is obsessed? It's BEEEAARRR...

Bear was obsessed with Niky, and he made a stupid wish that Niky should love Bear more than anyone else in the world. Literally, he is wishing that Niky should get obsessed with him without saying it out loud.

The story is basically about a man obsessed with a girl making a wish to make the girl obsessed with him.

This is what I see there.

But I can already hear some people saying, "The girl is obsessed," or "The girl is scary."

I am more scared of Bear.

Let me say why.

Making a stupid wish is fine. But when you know that she is not herself anymore and you are somehow okay with it, that is not.

Bear made a call to that Wish Willow after suspecting that it might be the reason she was acting so strange. The receiver asked, "Do you want to cancel the wish?"

This man right here—the obsession king—had just realized that his girlfriend was not behaving like herself and had literally cooked his cat, yet he wanted to alter the wish instead of canceling it.

At this point, I started to suspect, "Are you actually in love with her?"

Okay, ignore that for a second.

In one scene, Niky asks Bear to kill her. Imagine how messed up her situation must be for her to ask that.

But this man replied with a question:

 "What's so bad about being with me?"

If Niky wasn't acting crazy, I genuinely think Bear would be okay living with a version of Niky that wasn't actually Niky while hiding his secret wish forever.

To me, the name Obsession comes from the man in the show.
